Astigmatism

My vision does not seem clear at any distance

Astigmatism results in the inability to focus clearly at any distance due to uneven curvatures of the cornea. With astigmatism the cornea is shaped more like a football than a basketball and light rays focus at differing points on the retina, causing images to overlap and become blurred. Astigmatism often occurs in conjunction with nearsightedness and farsightedness. LASIK corrects this irregular shape, improving one's ability to focus.
