Three Steps to 20/20 Vision with Intralase LASIK

  1. The LASIK treatment begins with the creation of a protective superficial corneal outer layer. With IntraLase LASIK, this step is performed with a special computer guided femtolaser, which creates a more consistent and better designed flap.
  2. Next, the outer layer is gently raised and the VISX Star 4 is used to reshape the underlying corneal tissue. This step in Custom LASIK is based on a individual 3-D map of your eye, which has been programmed into the laser to yield the best visual outcome possible.
  3. Finally, the protected outer layer is repositioned safely and quickly adheres in place. Treatment takes approximately ten minutes per eye, and your procedure would take place with Dr. Yankelove at our Houston laser suite located at Voss at Katy Freeway.
